Why the Same Pipeline Works on a Paper
A research paper is really a slide deck without slides — passages of text under headings, with figures and tables scattered through it. Arcframe treats a PDF the same way it treats a PowerPoint: each page becomes a visual frame, and a script is generated to match what's on that page, rather than reading the document verbatim word for word. A 12-page paper becomes a 12-beat video, not a 12-page monotone reading.

What This Won't Do
Arcframe generates a script from what's legible on the page and narrates that — it does not fact-check the paper's claims, and it does not read dense mathematical notation aloud in a way that's meaningful to listen to. A page thick with equations or a small-print data table will need you to simplify or re-caption it first, because the narration follows what's visually readable on the page, not the underlying LaTeX or formula structure. For a paper over roughly 40 pages, the more practical approach is to export just the sections worth narrating — abstract, method summary, key results, conclusion — as a shorter PDF, rather than feeding in the full manuscript and hoping the narration stays focused.
